Adding on to the ecosystem of The Ground, Source Farms is a collective of farmers committed to supplying organic, grass-fed, responsible proteins. The client wanted to convey a sense of sophistication along with the down-to-earth permaculture that surrounds the nearby regenerative farms.

Source Farms is all about high-quality products, and we wanted to make sure that was portrayed in the identity. I created this design to be a brand that conveyed its premium nature, just like the product itself. However, I still wanted the brand to feel approachable and authentic, with a touch of rustic to show the company’s roots.
I spent a lot of time exploring the delicate balance between sophistication and the rural tendencies of a farm. The visual identity is really a reflection of the members of The Ground themselves; Elegant, bold, passionate - along with some true grit.
You can’t have a design system without some secondary marks, and this brand really lets their pigs fly. These badges can be used for a multitude of needs - stickers, brands (the old-school-burned-into-wood kind), stamps - their versatility is endless.

The result of this brand was a brand that truly speaks for itself: a new, sophisticated take on what it means to be a branded farm - without adding too much “modern” and “house” to the mix.
