Ellis Apartments

Introducing Ellis Apartments; a set of brand-new apartment buildings. Because of its location in the beautiful state of Washington, the client really wanted this brand to feel like the epitome of the Pacific Northwest. We supplied the brand and identity package, website design, print collateral, wayfinding signage, and environmental design.

Logo & Identity, interior signage, exterior signage, website design, illustration

The brand identity began with the logo, setting the foundation for the visual system and brand guidelines that followed. I designed the logomark to capture both a sense of place and identity—its layered forms reference the mountains surrounding the area while subtly shaping an abstract ‘E’ and ‘A’ for Ellis Apartments. This dual meaning creates a mark that feels rooted in its environment while remaining distinctly tied to the brand.

Building on the foundation of the logo, I expanded the brand through a variety of assets—including brand guidelines, a website, business cards, stationery, and even custom artwork designed to be mounted within select units. Each piece was created to ensure a cohesive, welcoming, and memorable brand experience across every touchpoint.

Signage play a key role in shaping the atmosphere of any building, and apartments are certainly no exception. For Ellis, I carried the brand beyond the expected touchpoints by designing the exterior monument sign, regulatory signage, unit signage, and wayfinding.

Inside the community clubhouse, I designed large-scale vinyl wall graphics that span the 20-foot walls and turn the space into a visual centerpiece. The design reimagines the diamond form from the logo into a mosaic-style depiction of Mt. Hood, a landmark visible from the property, creating a thoughtful connection between the brand identity and the surrounding landscape.
